“What memory records is how we feel about things, rather than what we know”
Hughie O’Donoghue

Memory and Touch are central themes that run within her practice. The majority of her work is effectively figurative. Here, she is able to explore with freedom: colour, form, light and compositional layout.

The intent of the composition has been carefully considered. Pared back scenes of unknown figures seem to be frozen in mid-walk, into or out of cropped frames. There is a sense of fragmented time occurring. Bare canvas and washed out tones probe, evoke and conjure up faded memoirs and gaps of uncertainty. These gaps, allow room for the viewer to fill in new narratives and reflections of ones personal memories.
