Carolanne Crosbie
Carolanne Crosbie is a local artist living and working in Kinsale.
She attended art classes every week for many years and, in 2006, she completed the Fetac Art Course in the Further Education College in Kinsale, Co. Cork.
Upon completion of the course, she began preparing for her first Solo Exhibition, in July 2009, here in the Boathouse Gallery, Kinsale.
The exhibition was a great success and her work has been on display in the gallery ever since.
She first learned to paint using watercolours, then acrylics and finally transitioned to oils. Oils on canvas are now her preferred medium to work with. She takes her inspiration from her locality. Kinsale's picturesque marina, harbour and winding streets can often be found throughout her work. She also has a strong interest in portraits and figurative paintings.
